Stay safe, East Coast
Sending well wishes to all on the East Coast from Hurricane Sandy, which has apparently been downgraded to a winter cyclone. According to reports on CNN, this storm will likely affect 60 million people. Also, there's a blizzard going on in West Virginia. Yikes!
Our friend, Matt, who lives in Eastchester County, NY (about 45 minutes from Manhattan by train) says that there's been very heavy winds but not much rain (yet) about 9:10 pm EST as the storm makes landfall. CNN reports that they're trying to keep water from entering the subway tunnels since this would take a long time to remove even though they have pumps.
Also, weather permitting, Matt says the stock markets will likely reopen on Wednesday but watch for Tuesday updates.
